The Coptic Orthodox Youth Association (COYA) is a parish based organization that functions to assist and support the Church and serve the needs of Coptic Orthodox youth on a spiritual, physical, emotional, educational and social level.
It is COYA’s commitment to assist all youth of the Church and empower them to live exemplary Christian lives, so that through this, positively influence members of mainstream society. It is also the mission of COYA to broaden the ministry of the Coptic Orthodox Church to other communities, offering hope through a multitude of services, developing leadership, and influencing public policy and debate on issues of relevance to Christian interests. Through the blessing of God the Father, the Grace of His only Begotten Son and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, COYA will minister to the youth of the Church under this constitution, supported by prayers of His Holiness Pope Shenouda III, Patriarch of the See of St. Mark, the Reverend Fathers of the Clergy of the Church, and congregation members of the Church.
